Projects

Our involvement in this self-build residential project was a great example of how GIA work collaboratively with trusted experts to assist with the installation and validation of ground gas protection measures for a former workshop site in Derbyshire.  GIA produced a site specific Remedial Strategy report and worked closely with our Client throughout the project.  We were proud to help achieve validated protection measures for our Client's redevelopment.

"First class service from GIA. Very professional and genuinely nice people, Phil was always on hand to give advice and quick to help resolve any issues. We would highly recommend GIA and would be our first choice if we needed this kind of service again.

GIA was proud to project manage and deliver ground investigation services for a new multi-storey residential building in the centre of Nottingham, adding to a growing list of exciting redevelopments in the region.  A sonic rig was used to drill deep boreholes to assist with pile design and a window sample borehole rig was mobilised to complete post demolition investigations within a former basement.

Our full-time supervision, excellent communication and thorough knowledge of the local geology resulted in the successful completion of the ground investigation site work.  Another technically challenging project completed by GIA and our team.

Following the production of a detailed and thoughtfully produced Phase 1 Desk Study, we brought together our trusted and hard working team of specialist drilling contractors to deliver a thorough Phase 2 Ground Investigation at a former scrap yard in Nottingham.

Window sample and cable percussive drilling rigs were used to maximise the information obtained on the ground conditions, groundwater levels and contamination status of the site.  This enabled an assessment of foundation options and mitigation measures to protect end users of the proposed office and workshop building.

"GIA made it easy for me and you have been a pleasure to work with.

From start to finish they were professional, friendly and met all deadlines as promised.

We would highly recommend and will definitely be working together again in the near future."
